Zain Gowani, MD, is an instructor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, and serves as the assistant chief of service of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Internal Medicine Residency Program. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Chicago, in Chicago, Illinois, and earned his medical doctorate from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview, where he was awarded the Patrick Murphy Teaching Award for best resident educator. His clinical and research interests include clinical heart failure, arrhythmia outcomes, and medical education.
